Anita Das Chakraborty a obtenu un Master à l’Université de Calcutta. Elle vit et travaille à Ghaziabad. Ses premières expositions datent de la fin des années 80. Elle a été plusieurs fois distinguée en Inde, notamment à la grande Biennale de Bharat Bavan à Bhopal.
